Freedom Aviation is the fixed-base operator (FBO) at the Lynchburg Regional Airport (LYH) in Lynchburg, VA. We offer a comprehensive array of aviation services, including fueling, hangar, maintenance, avionics, charter and management, flight training, sales and brokering. History

Freedom Aviation was established in 1948, under the name Falwell Aviation. The company originally operated out of the Falwell Airport in Lynchburg, VA (W24), later moving primary operations to the Lynchburg Regional Airport in 2007 after expanding beyond the scope of W24’s facilities. In 2010, Liberty University purchased the company and changed the name to Freedom Aviation. In 2013, Freedom Aviation merged with the other FBO on the field, Virginia Aviation. Virginia Aviation and its employees brought 30+ years of rich aviation history and experience along with them, and the combination of the two organizations under one new umbrella – Freedom Aviation – created one of the most exceptional FBOs in Central Virginia.
